I was officially diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS, the MonSter) on June 28, 2004. I'll add more information to my story, my diary entries, and some great links regarding MS at another time.
I've been taking the Disease-Modifying Drug (DMD) "Rebif" since January 2005 - which is my having to give myself 3 injections (needles) every week. I used to be scared of needles, now I am a PRO!
Life is so uncertain these days; some days I feel almost "normal" and other days I have to try so hard just to get out of bed and go to work. I take 2 pills every day to help with the fatigue: Provigil (Modafinil). They seem to be working OK).
Check back soon and often because I am going to be adding some great links and info to this site pertaining to the MonSter!
A funny MRI comic I found on-line. I've had 5 of these done - not too much fun, but not too bad. My neurologist showed me my brain images - too cool! My brain rocks, even though I have white spots and scarring all through it.
"The Ultimate MS Walker" - found this pic on-line. I thought this pic was kind of funny.
